In South Minneapolis, Somali sisters Hafsa and Sumaya run a secret matchmaking service called Woman Land. Hafsa, dreamy and introverted, leads the business while her older sister Sumaya dreams of leaving town after college. The service excites local women from their community while attracting judgment and online trolls, all while they try to hide what they’re doing from their mother. Things become complicated when Hafsa’s crush becomes the subject of a matchmaking request from a client, creating a problem between the life she’s building and what she actually wants.
