Sanjeevani
Sanjeevani opens on a body that has not been told the truth yet, milk without a mouth, grief without permission, a house too impatient to let a mother mourn. Named for the herb of myth said to bring the dead back to life, the film asks a harder question: what does a woman do with a body still built for giving, in a world that has stopped asking her for anything? Set inside the quiet cruelty of a household that has no room for her grief, the film sits with Gowri in the space between loss and instinct, between what a mother's body remembers and what the world around her refuses to acknowledge. It's a film about milk and silence, about care that outlives its intended purpose, and about the strange, involuntary ways love finds somewhere to go when it can no longer go where it meant to.
